Makla AI helps users estimate calories and macronutrients from meal photos. This policy explains how data is handled.

Data processed by the app

Meal photos may be sent to Makla AI's secure backend to generate the requested nutrition estimate. The app also stores profile settings, meal history, targets, and thumbnails locally on the user's device.

Purpose

Photos and meal details are processed only to provide app functionality, including nutrition estimates, meal history, and daily targets.

Payments

In-app purchases and subscription status are processed by the App Store, StoreKit, and RevenueCat. Web checkout purchases may be processed by Stripe. Makla AI uses subscription status only to unlock paid features.

Web account access

If a user purchases access on the Makla AI website, the email address, subscription status, and a hashed device identifier may be stored in Supabase to verify access in the app and limit that access to one phone. Login codes may be sent by email through Resend.

Tracking and advertising

Makla AI does not track users across apps or websites and does not use advertising identifiers.
